The Toronto Maple Leafs are finally receiving separation from the self-imposed sickness that became of Brad Ross.
Ross, who the Maple Leafs infamously traded up to choose with their first draft selection in 2010, has departed the organization, signing on with German pro side Iserlohn, the club announced.
He split his North American pro career between the Toronto Marlies and the Orlando Solar Bears of the East Coast Hockey League and was suspended 20 games last season for using performance-enhancing substances.
Ross is archetypal in terms of the Maple Leafs' failure to connect on high draft picks under Brian Burke.
