- *Crosses fingers* T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao will finally have their rematch at UFC on FOX 16 in July. In one of the most dominant title seizures in the promotion's history, Dillashaw deposed Barao via brutal TKO at UFC 173 last May. They've had two rematches destroyed by injury and a bad weight cut.
- Urijah Faber ventured outside the division against featherweight ace Frankie Edgar in May, losing a wide decision to the former lightweight champion.
- Blue chip prospect Aljamain Sterling notched the biggest victory of his career at UFC on FOX 15 in April, submitting division stalwart Takeya Mizugaki via arm-triangle choke.
- World Series of Fighting bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes is set to defend his title against Sheymon da Silva Moraes at WSOF 22 in August. Sheymon Moraes owns a spotless 7-0 record in his brief MMA career.
