Corinne Blatter on father's resignation: 'I am both sad and relieved'
Amid all of the scandal, corruption, and explosive revelations of the last week - which culminated, almost unbelievably, with a Tuesday's resignation - it's easy to forget that Sepp isn't the only Blatter impacted by the events that rocked football's governing body to its core.
Sepp Blatter's daughter, Corrine, discussed the 79-year-old's decision to step away from the role that's been his life for nearly two decades in an exclusive interview with Richard Conway of BBC 5 Live.
"I am both sad and relieved," she said.
"My father’s announcement was a relief as it means the pressure that was building up on all sides has now disappeared."
Corinne Blatter: "In the end it was simply a matter of wearing him down. That was extremely painful for me."

Corinne continued, looking ahead to what she hopes will be a future bereft of controversy for he embattled father.
"My wish now is for calm to be restored, both for my father and for world football.
"But above all I wish for the world to finally acknowledge the great things he has done for football in the last 40 years."
