Overview
The hard-throwing left-hander lives effortlessly in the 92-mph range with a sharp-breaking 80-mph slider to complement it. He has long been touted as a consensus first-rounder, and was averaging at least one strikeout per inning prior to suffering an injury earlier this season.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound left-hander has the athleticism to flourish in the majors, while most scouts believe Kirby could one day emerge as a legitimate No. 2 starter.
