NBA Finals Game 2: Steph Curry freezes Cavs' defense with ridiculous handle (VIDEO)
LeBron James wasn't blowing smoke when he said Steph Curry's handles were better than anyone's, save for maybe Kyrie Irving's.
Allen Iverson wasn't just talking for the sake of talking when he said Curry's ball-control was even better than The Answer's prodigious yo-yo-ing.
Curry's handle is really, really good. It's unfair, really, and if the word of two of the most uniquely gifted offensive players of the last 20 years wasn't enough, a play from Sunday's third quarter will be likely convincing. Pushing the ball without numbers against the Cleveland Cavaliers' defense, Curry lulled Matthew Dellavedova and Tristan Thompson to sleep, then blew by both of them for two.
There's just not much defenders can do about that. Curry freezes Thompson's help by slowing down, making it look like Dellavedova has things covered. Then he takes an angle to the rim that doesn't allow Thompson to recover into a strong help position.
That's why he's the MVP, and why the Golden State Warriors are here in the NBA Finals.
