After boasting the second-worst record in the NHL last season, the Arizona Coyotes have the chance to capitalize at the draft with a high pick.
If they choose to do so.
The team's general manager, Don Maloney, held a press conference Tuesday addressing several topics, including the upcoming draft where the team holds the third overall pick. A pick that he says the Coyotes could part with.
Maloney told reporters that three clubs have asked if the team would be willing to part with the third overall pick, to which he responded, "We're open for business."
The GM added that it would take a "first-born" to wrestle the pick from him, suggesting that though the pick is available, it will come with a hefty price tag.
