Cavaliers' Dellavedova fully recovered from dehydration, will skip pregame coffee
Matthew Dellavedova is ready to go for Game 4, with one caveat: no pregame - or halftime - coffee.
The gritty Cleveland Cavaliers point guard was admitted to hospital following his spectacular 20-point, all-hustle performance in Game 3. Dellavedova suffered from severe cramping brought on by dehydration after logging 39 minutes in the Cavaliers' win.
But after receiving IV treatment, Dellavedova is ready to get down and dirty Thursday night.
Not usually one for the spotlight, Delladova has emerged as the Cavaliers' unlikely hero, starting in place of injured point guard Kyrie Irving. Dellavedova has played lockdown defense on Stephen Curry, while managing to chip in on offense as well.
He rescued the Cavaliers in overtime with a pair of clutch free throws in Game 2. He followed that up with a 20-point outing in Game 3 which will be remembered for his all-out effort.
Expect a fully-recovered Dellavedova to resume his role tailing Curry when Game 4 tips off.
