Hey, remember this guy?

Spanish point guard Sergio Rodriguez, who played for three NBA teams between 2006 and 2010, is hoping to return to the league next season, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Rodriguez has spent the last five years playing for the basketball side of Real Madrid.

Drafted in the first round as a 20-year-old by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2006, he also played for the Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks before returning to Spain.

Rodriguez was named Euroleague Player of the Year in 2014.

There appears to be interest in bringing the 6-foot-3 playmaker back to the NBA as a backup. Rodriguez's agents at the Creative Artists Agency will reportedly be able to facilitate a buyout with Real and enter NBA free agency.

Rodriguez averaged 4.3 points and 2.9 assists in 285 NBA games, and has been a core player with Spain's national team, alongside the Gasol brothers, Ricky Rubio, and Serge Ibaka.
