Senators' Erik Karlsson wins Norris Trophy as NHL's top defenseman

Ottawa Senators rearguard Erik Karlsson was named the Norris Trophy winner as the league's top defenseman at the 2015 NHL Awards.
He beat out P.K. Subban of the Montreal Canadiens and Drew Doughty of the Los Angeles Kings with 44 percent of the vote. He won the Norris previously in 2012.
Karlsson led all defensemen in points for the third time in four years, notching 66 in 82 games.
He ranked second among blue-liners in goals, scoring a career-high 21, while finishing second in assists among defensemen with 45.
Karlsson tied Mark Streit of the Philadelphia Flyers for the league lead with 30 power-play points and ranked third among blue-liners in average ice time at 27:15.
