The Dallas Stars have selected winger Denis Gurianov with the 12th pick in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Overview

Appearing in 23 games for KHL club Togliatti’s junior team in 2014-15, Gurianov averaged over a point per game and scored 15 goals.

On the international level, Gurianov led all Russian players with six goals and an assist in five games at the 2015 Under-18 World Championship.

Gurianov compares his style of play to fellow Russian Valeri Nichushkin of the Dallas Stars, boasting a comparable skill set and an equally high ceiling.
