The Vancouver Canucks have dealt goaltender Eddie Lack to the Carolina Hurricanes for a 2015 third-round pick (66th overall) and a 2016 seventh-round pick.
After the trade of Lack, Vancouver is left with Ryan Miller as the team's starter and Jacob Markstrom as the backup.
Lack, 27, posted a record of 18-13-4 with a goals-against average of 2.45 and a save percentage .921 in 41 appearances.
This isn't the first time the Canucks have traded a goaltender in recent memory, as the team sent Roberto Luongo to the Florida Panthers in March 2014 and Cory Schneider to the New Jersey Devils at the 2013 NHL Draft.
