Hurricanes get Lack in trade with Canucks

Sunrise, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired goaltender Eddie Lack from the Vancouver Canucks for a pair of draft picks.

The Hurricanes gave the Canucks a third-round selection (66th overall) in Saturday's draft and a seventh-rounder in 2016.

"Eddie is a big-bodied goalie who has proven himself on the NHL level in the past two seasons," said Hurricanes executive vice president and general manager Ron Francis.

Lack, 27, played in 41 games for the Canucks in each of the last two seasons, compiling a 34-30-9 record with a 2.43 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.
