Nets waive guard Darius Morris

The Brooklyn Nets waived point guard Darius Morris on Monday.
The Michigan product was signed by the team in December to fill out the roster following the trade that sent Andrei Kirilenko to the Philadelphia 76ers. He played sparingly, averaging 2.2 points in 38 games.
By retaining Morris for the rest of the season, however, the Nets paid an additional $2.3 million in luxury tax payments.
