Canucks re-sign defenseman Alex Biega

The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed defenseman Alex Biega.
Biega, 27, adds to Vancouver's depth on the blue line, having appeared in seven games for the big club last season, recording one goal.
The former fifth-round pick of the Buffalo Sabres in 2006 spent the majority of last season with the Utica Comets, earning 19 points in 62 games.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
