Report: Suns agree to 5-year, $70M deal with Brandon Knight

Most people would prefer not to live in a desert. For Brandon Knight, however, such a prospect may not be such a terrible thing.

The Phoenix Suns and Knight have agreed to a five-year, $70-million deal, as per Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski's report on Wednesday.

Knight, 23, was acquired by the Suns in a three-team deal with the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers at the trade deadline in February.

In 11 games for the Suns last season, he averaged 13.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, with a 10.5 PER.

Judging Knight on his 11-game tenure with the Suns is not entirely fair. Prior to arriving in Phoenix, he was averaging 17.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists with a 18.5 PER. The latter part of Knight's season was cut short due to ankle issues, however, it is clear that his positive impact in Arizona was appreciated by the Suns' front office.

Although rumors have swirled regarding the status of Phoenix's other combo guard, Eric Bledsoe, NBA.com's David Aldridge reported Wednesday that the Knight signing will not impact Bledsoe's standing with the team.
