While big name free agent dominoes begin to fall into place under the NBA spotlight, somewhat forgotten names are quietly going about their business.
To that end, unrestricted free agent forward Richard Jefferson has reportedly discussed potential deals with the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans, according to Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix.
Jefferson, who's reportedly seeking a one- or two-year deal, is no longer the dynamic threat he once was, particularly on the defensive end, but he remains a fine bench option as a 3-point specialist.
The 35-year-old, 14-year veteran has shot better than 41 percent from deep over the last two seasons with the Mavericks and Utah Jazz, surprisingly emerging as one of the game's most consistent long range threats during that time.
Jefferson averaged 5.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in just under 17 minutes per game with the Mavs in 2014-15.
