Going home: Clippers reportedly agree to 3-year, $10-million deal with Paul Pierce

Paul Pierce appears to be going home to Los Angeles.
The veteran forward will agree to terms with the Los Angeles Clippers on a three-year contract worth around $10.5 million, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
The deal for the 37-year-old Pierce includes a team option for the third season, according to the report.
It's unlikely Pierce will ever play the third year. He will turn 38 before opening night, and he opted out of a $5.5-million additional season with the Washington Wizards in order to reunite with former Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers.
The reported Clippers deal will pay him an average of around $3.3 million per season, which equates to the mini-mid level exception. It was reported earlier Wednesday that the Clippers are still confident in re-signing DeAndre Jordan while still adding Pierce.

Losing Pierce hurts the Wizards as much as losing a 37-year-old leader who helped carry them in the playoffs can, but he will fill a need in the Clippers locker room too - as well as providing veteran depth on the wing.
Pierce was born in Oakland, but grew up in the Los Angeles County city of Inglewood.
