Report: Thomas Robinson agrees to 2-year deal with Nets

Home is where the heart is, unless you're NBA power forward Thomas Robinson who can't seem to stay with one team long enough to be totally comfortable.

The 24-year-old will hope the Brooklyn Nets can change all of that after agreeing to a two-year deal for their mini-mid level exception, with the second year being a player option, according to multiple reports.

Robinson later confirmed the news on his Twitter account, letting fans know that he'll be playing in The Borough next season.

Robinson was drafted fifth overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 2012 NBA Draft after being named Big 12 Player of the Year and a consensus First-Team All-American during his final year with the Kansas Jayhawks.

He's since played for the Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Philadelphia 76ers, who claimed Robinson off of waivers after he was sent packing by the Denver Nuggets, who he never played a game for.

The best numbers of his young career came when he averaged 8.8 points and 7.7 rebounds in 22 appearances for the Sixers, which translate to 17.1 points and 15 rebounds per 36 minutes.

The Nets were interested in drafting Robinson with their first-round pick in 2012 before dealing it away to the Blazers, which they used to select eventual Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard. There was even an agreement in place for Robinson to sign a 10-day contract with Brooklyn before Philadelphia swooped in back in February.

Considered to be a bust in most NBA circles, Robinson can use this opportunity to prove his doubters wrong and show once and for all that he belongs in the league.

The Nets finished in the bottom-third in rebounding at 42.4 a night, so Robinson fills a need by being a large body who can crash the glass and bang down low – something Brooklyn's bigs showed a reluctance to doing on a consistent basis.
