The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly on the verge of landing All-NBA center DeAndre Jordan, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
ESPN sources say DeAndre Jordan is on verge of accepting Mavs' four-year, $80M+ max offer. Dallas firmly in lead and decision likely today

After taking meetings with the Mavericks, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers, in addition to the Los Angeles Clippers, the unrestricted free agent was reportedly "torn" between the Mavs and Clippers, but will ultimately leave approximately $28 million on the table to spurn the only team he's played for in his seven-year career.
Jordan's reported concern with how the Clippers' roster might age in the coming years may have played a part, as may have his reportedly rocky relationship with Chris Paul.
As for DJ/CP3 dynamic. It's bad and it's been bad for three years when Celtics and Clippers got deep into trade talks on DJ-for-KG

Jordan averaged a career-high 11.5 points and a league-leading 15 rebounds per game this past season, earning Third-Team All-NBA honors and a third-place finish in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
The Mavericks offer the opportunity to play alongside Dirk Nowitzki and Chandler Parsons in a potentially devastating frontcourt, while Dallas also recently agreed to terms with free-agent shooting guard Wesley Matthews. If there's one weak spot in Dallas, it's at the point, where Devin Harris and Raymond Felton are currently slotted, although the Mavs could use Parsons as more of a point-forward than in the past.
Dallas will have to address its depth issues with limited cap space remaining, but the additions of Jordan and Matthews should not be diminished after the Mavs cleared space for years - and saw Nowitzki take a team-friendly discount on his latest deal - while the team continually struck out on top-tier free agents.
