The Indiana Pacers continue to tend to their backcourt this summer.
A few days after the team struck a deal with offensive firecracker Monta Ellis, the Hoosier state's lone NBA team welcomed back combo guard Rodney Stuckey.
RealGM's Shams Charania reported Sunday that Stuckey, an unrestricted free agent, has agreed in principle to a three-year, $21-million deal with the Pacers.
The first two years of the contract are guaranteed, with the third year being a player option, according to Charania's report.
The 6-foot-5 guard enjoyed a relatively productive season with the Pacers in 2014-15 - his first season with the team after spending the previous seven with the Detroit Pistons - averaging 12.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 26.4 minutes per game.
As a de facto replacement for the departed Lance Stephenson, Stuckey shared ball-handling duties with fellow guards George Hill and C.J. Watson. Though more of a scorer than a facilitator, Stuckey filled in nicely and earned the trust of head coach Frank Vogel and team president Larry Bird.
The Eastern Washington University product had reportedly received interest from various other teams, including the Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
