Maple Leafs sign Kadri to 1-year contract extension, worth reported $4.1M

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed restricted free agent Nazem Kadri to a one-year contract extension, the team announced Sunday.
The contract will pay him $4.1 million, according to Sportsnet's Chris Johnston. It's a $1-million raise from his last contract with the Leafs.
Important note: Nazem Kadri is RFA in 2016-17 and 17-18 due to his late date of birth for signing purposes. #leafs

The 24-year-old - like many Maple Leafs - saw a dip in production in 2014-15, tallying 18 goals and 39 points in 73 games.
His 0.53 points per game was his lowest total since becoming a regular with the club during the 2012-13 season.
