The Dallas Mavericks have come to terms with unrestricted free agent small forward Jeremy Evans, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Evans' claim to fame is winning the 2012 All-Star weekend Slam Dunk Contest.
It's a two-year deal at the league minimum (around $525,000 per season), Stein reports. Evans has played sparingly, but has spent his entire five-year career with the Utah Jazz, where he was a second-round draft pick in 2010. Evans saw rotation minutes in 2013-14, but averaged only 2.4 points in seven minutes per game this past season.
The Mavs lost center Tyson Chandler, forward Al-Farouq Aminu, and shooting guard Monta Ellis in free agency, but have gained center DeAndre Jordan.
