Report: Hawks agree to terms with Justin Holiday on 2-year deal

Justin Holiday will get a shot with the Atlanta Hawks after the team signed the 26-year-old swingman, according to Yahoo Sports' Marc J. Spears.

Finances were not disclosed, but the deal is fully guaranteed for two years, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Holiday spent this past season on the Golden State Warriors' bench, playing well when called upon. But he was unable to crack the world champs' rotation consistently, playing a total of 11 minutes in the postseason.

An opportunity with the Hawks presents itself with the departure of small forward DeMarre Carroll to the Toronto Raptors. Holiday is an athletic wing who could project as the sort of 3-and-D player that Atlanta lost in Carroll.

Holiday, the older brother of New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday, has had a long road since leaving the University of Washington. Undrafted in 2011, Holiday played in Europe before landing alongside his brother with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2013. Then it was back to Europe before returning stateside, to the D-League, and then the Warriors.
