Patrick Beverley is having quite a birthday week.
The restricted free agent confirmed Thursday that he has re-signed with the Houston Rockets, officially putting pen to paper three days before he turns 27.
With a deal that's reported to be for four years and $25 million, Beverley had some disposable income to get himself an early birthday present.
CAPTION: Early bday gift for myself. God is Good!!!!
The tenacious point guard is coming off a season that was cut short by torn ligaments in his wrist, forcing him to miss the Rockets' run to the Western Conference finals. It was a disappointing conclusion to a year that saw him average 10.1 points and career highs of 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists, all while knocking down 35.6 percent of his 3-point attempts.
The self-proclaimed best point guard defender in the league often cedes control of the offense to teammate James Harden, and while Harden wanted the team to bring in playmaking help, the two represent a complementary duo.
