The Indiana Pacers didn't wait long to replace center Roy Hibbert.
Unrestricted free agent Jordan Hill agreed to a 1-year, $5-million deal with the Indiana Pacers, reports Candace Buckner of the Indy Star.
Hill spent the past four years with the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging a career-high 12 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 70 games during the 2014-15 regular season.
The 27-year-old was originally drafted by the New York Knicks with the No. 8 pick in 2009 and played his rookie campaign in the Big Apple before being dealt to the Houston Rockets the following year. Hill was traded once again to the Lakers in 2012 for veteran point guard Derek Fisher.
Hill joining the Pacers comes on the heels of the team sending Hibbert to the Lakers for a future second-round pick.
How many Hills do the Pacers really need, though? All of them, apparently.
With Indiana selecting Myles Turner 11th overall in this year's draft, it remains to be seen which big will handle more minutes at the 5 spot, or if head coach Frank Vogel will start both players after David West bolted for the San Antonio Spurs.
Paul George, who missed all but six games last season due to injury, is preparing himself to play more minutes at power forward with the league going small, making Hill anything but a sure thing to snag a starter's role.
