Matt Bonner re-signs with Spurs: 'Option No. 1, 2 and 3'

Matt Bonner is returning to the San Antonio Spurs.
The sharpshooting redhead has re-signed for a 10th season with Gregg Popovich and company, the team announced Wednesday.
The deal is for one year at the $1.5-million veteran minimum, Bonner reportedly texted Jeff McDonald of the Express-News, and here's hoping Bonner's iPhone 6 didn't cause him any further injury.

The Florida product was clear that he hoped to return to San Antonio, but the team's offseason overhaul left his status in some doubt, and he engaged in a brief dalliance with the Sacramento Kings. Picturing him in anything but Spurs' grey and black - save for maybe Toronto Raptors colors - is tough to picture.
The Spurs even released a photo gallery to that effect.
He posted his worst 3-point shooting percentage since 2007-08 last season, knocking down a respectable 36.5 percent of his outside looks. Most players would be fine with that mark, but the sandwich enthusiast has a 41.4-percent career mark and derives his value largely from that skill. Assuming Bonner switches phones this summer, it's a safe bet the 35-year-old's shooting form returns.
Bonner could struggle for minutes this season given the Spurs' frontcourt additions, but Popovich will surely have a need for his shooting touch from time to time. The 35-year-old averaged 13 minutes in 2014-15, even starting 19 games due to injuries elsewhere on the roster.
A second-round pick in 2003, Bonner has averaged six points and 3.1 rebounds over 762 career games and ranks 11th in all-time 3-point percentage.
