Hamlin, who started on the pole, held off Austin Dillon and Brad Keselowski in the final few laps for the win. He crossed the finish line just 0.517 seconds ahead of Dillon, while Keselowski finished third.
Hamlin spun out on Lap 23 and had to restart at the back of the pack. Kyle Busch, who finished fourth, took four tires around the same time, and started from the rear with Hamlin. The two restarted 28th and 29th on Lap 29; by Lap 43, the Joe Gibbs Racing teammates were battling for the lead.
Rookie Daniel Suarez rounded out the top five. Dillon's brother Ty finished sixth, followed by Regan Smith, Darrel Wallace Jr., Chase Elliott, and Brennan Poole. Points leader Chris Buescher finished 14th.
The win was Hamlin's 13th in his Xfinity Series career and he's now tied with Martin Truex Jr. and Darrell Waltrip for 23rd on the circuit's all-time wins list.
