Struve batters shopworn Nogueira at UFC 190
Youth feasts on age, and, although legends never die, they sometimes slowly fade against mediocre competition.
Looking like a shell of the legendary heavyweight who won all-out wars in Japan, a completely shopworn Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira hung tough against Stefan Struve at UFC 190 on Saturday night, but ultimately went out on his shield, the victim of a one-sided drubbing.
Struve sloppily picked Nogueira apart for 15 minutes, wobbling the former PRIDE champion with some heavy shots, but Nogueira, like a zombie, kept coming forward.
By the third round, "The Skyscraper" was using Nogueira's face for target practice, pumping the legend with what felt like dozens of undefended jabs.
It was hard to watch.
Struve: This is not a normal man. I think I wobbled him like 10 times. My respect.
