Report: LeBron James, Paul George to attend Team USA minicamp
Two-time Olympic gold medalist LeBron James will join USA Basketball's mandatory minicamp later this month, reports Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears.
Two-time NBA All-Star Paul George will make an appearance as well, according to Spears.
James' willingness to attend Team USA's mid-August activities is the news USAB managing director Jerry Colangelo and head coach Mike Krzyzewski have been waiting for.
However, fans shouldn't expect to see The Chosen One at the whole program of events, to be held from Aug. 11-13 in Las Vegas. James reportedly has his foundation's annual Family Reunion to attend, which will force the Cleveland Cavaliers star to miss national team's workouts.
George will attend the team's initial meeting, but will sit out the actual camp and on-court activities.
The Indiana Pacers' prized wing will don a Team USA uniform for the first time since he sustained a gruesome leg injury at last year's USAB exhibition.
The first two days of this year's events will include non-contact drills, while the third day will feature an All-Star Game-style scrimmage.
