Don't let your mouth write a check your tail can't cash.

Not one for false promises, a West Ham supporter followed up on his vow to have Sunday's Irons goalscorers tattooed on himself if the East London club bested Arsenal at the Emirates.

When Cheikhou Kouyate scored on a 43rd-minute header that eluded the grasp of a lunging Petr Cech, the writing was, erm, on the wall for this young West Ham supporter.

Despite the halftime advantage, Arsenal would have been expected to - at worst - equalise at some point in the second half.

Contrary to expectations, the Gunners provided little punch and were quick to turn the other cheek.

Mauro Zarate's shot from outside the box caught Cech flat-footed in the 57th minute, putting West Ham up 2-0, and had one Irons supporter looking for his local tattoo parlour.

At least he's a man of his word.
