Is there any sense in dwelling on how the Seahawks' 2014 season ended? It was perhaps the most painful and abrupt resolution in football history, and the question "why didn't they run it?" will echo, unanswered, for as long as the sport is played.

The idea that the Seahawks improved in the offseason is a scary one for every NFC franchise. Addressing their red-zone offense in one fell swoop, the Seahawks signed Jimmy Graham, kept their core intact for the foreseeable future, and supplemented any losses with players of equal or only slightly lesser value. If Russell Wilson and the offense take a step forward, another Super Bowl is very possible.

The headline-grabber here is Graham, who was acquired in a trade for Unger and the Seahawks' first-round pick. Graham is among the most dominant red-zone weapons in football, and, along with the threat of Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson running, he'll force defenses to pick their poison when the Seahawks get into scoring range.
Bold Predictions
The Seahawks will miss the playoffs. As dominant as the Seahawks have been of late, maintaining that level of success is no easy task in the NFL. Even a 10-6 record could see Seattle miss out on the postseason this year, with the Cardinals poised to challenge for the division title, and plenty of strong teams competing for NFC wild-card spots. The defense should continue to dominate, but a weak offensive line will make it difficult for the Seahawks to score with consistency. - Dan Wilkins
Paul Richardson will lead the Seahawks in receiving yards. The second-year wideout is coming off a torn ACL, having had surgery on Jan. 27, so he'll need to have a second-half surge to justify this prediction. But if he responds well to treatment, he'll be the Seahawks' No.1 option by Week 8, making Jermaine Kearse and Doug Baldwin obsolete. - Joe Thomson
The Seahawks will start 0-2. The Seahawks face a very difficult start to the season, with games on the road against the St. Louis Rams and Green Bay Packers.
