The Denver Broncos have agreed to a one-year contract with guard Evan Mathis.
The deal could be worth up to $4 million, according to multiple reports.
Mathis, a two-time Pro Bowler, was released by the Philadelphia Eagles in June after campaigning to be released because of a contract dispute.
Mathis has been linked to several teams hungry for an upgrade along the offensive line over the offseason, visiting the Seattle Seahawks over the weekend.
The move is a big boost for a Broncos team with a depleted offensive line. President John Elway called Mathis "an accomplished vet who has played at a very high level in recent seasons."
