- In a rematch of the toughest bout of his flyweight title reign, seemingly bulletproof champion Demetrious Johnson is set to square off with the anvil-fisted John Dodson at UFC 191 on Sept. 5. After being knocked down multiple times during their first meeting in 2013, "Mighty Mouse" rallied back to take home a unanimous decision victory.
- Perennial division bridesmaid Joseph Benavidez will continue his ascent back up to the 125-pound ladder against fellow former title challenger Ali Bagautinov at UFC 192 in October. Benavidez is 7-2 since moving down to flyweight, with both losses coming against Demetrious Johnson.
- Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo is set to take a massive step up in competition at UFC Fight Night 78 in November, putting his undefeated record on the line against savvy veteran Jussier Formiga. A former Tachi Palace Fights standout, Formiga hasn't tasted defeat since 2013, scoring consecutive victories over Scott Jorgensen, Zach Makovsky, and Wilson Reis.
