DFS: Who Benefits Most From Dez Bryant's Injury?

Geoff Burke / USA TODAY Sports

Dez Bryant is inarguably one of the top wide receivers in the NFL. He led the league with 16 TD receptions in 2014 and was eighth in receiving yards.

Losing Bryant creates a large, but possibly manageable, hole to fill in both the Cowboys receiver corps and DFS lineups. Somebody is going to pick up the slack for Dallas; who shall it be heading into Week 2?

WR Cole Beasley

Beasley had an okay Week 1, catching four of six targets for 49 yards but losing a fumble. While Terrance Williams becomes the de facto number one, Beasley's role will increase more as he figures to fit into the regular attack.

He should also be a more affordable DFS option. With Tony Romo spreading the ball around in Bryant's absence, the combination of low cost and high ceiling make Beasley an attractive option, especially as a FLEX piece.

RB Lance Dunbar

Dunbar impressed in Week 1 despite not getting a single carry. That's because he was Romo's number one target - the running back made eight catches for 70 yards.

He's a bit of a gamble given that Week 1 yardage was higher than any game in his career to date. Consider him a low-floor, high-ceiling option going into Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

TE Jason Witten

Witten and backup tight end Gavin Escobar were responsible for all the Dallas touchdowns on Sunday night. Witten gives Romo a stable option; he's 6-foot-6 and makes for a big target, especially inside the red zone.

Witten didn't record any multi-TD games last season, but has already taken care of that achievement this season. His value doesn't increase exponentially like the other names because he was already a touted commodity at his position, but he provides a high floor heading into Week 2.
