VIDEO: Chicago striker Gilberto scores twice against former team Toronto FC
Former Toronto FC striker Gilberto punished his old side with a pair of goals as the Chicago Fire took on the Reds at BMO Field.
Gilberto had a sniff at goal in the 40th second of play and made Toronto pay for getting rid of him last season, slipping the ball between Chris Konopka's legs after a giveaway in midfield.

The Brazilian Designated Player then added a second goal early in the second half, smacking a shot against the bar and into the net after some smart positioning saw him run on to a direct through pass.
The Canadian outfit moved Gilberto after signing U.S. international Jozy Altidore and Italian forward Sebastian Giovinco. League rules permit only three DPs per team, leaving Gilberto the odd man out with Michael Bradley in the squad as well.
You might say you couldn't write this script, but it would actually be a sequel, as the Reds are notorious for allowing old players to score against them.
