Argentina striker Sergio Aguero was stretchered off with a hamstring injury in a World Cup qualifying match against Ecuador on Thursday, his club, Manchester City, confirmed on its official site.
Aguero was meant to stand in for Lionel Messi as the South American giant's replacement No. 10 against Ecuador, but could only muster only 20 minutes of play.
Aguero came off early with what looked like an innocuous injury, replaced by Carlos Tevez in the first half.
