Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is the latest victim of the NFL's confusing catch rules.
Freeman caught, what looked like, a sure touchdown only to have it overturned because he did not complete the process of a catch in the end zone. It sure looked like he completed the process.
Unlike the Dez Bryant situation in last year's playoffs, this one did not cost anybody the game, as Freeman scampered in for a touchdown two plays later and the Falcons went on to win in overtime.
Just last week, Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert experienced a similar situation and the catch rule remains a mystery.
