DFS: Week 6 Tight End Value Rankings
Here's a look at theScore's tight end value rankings for Week 6 (Thursday night game excluded):
Value Rankings
QB | RB | WR | TE
Top 3
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Martellus Bennett (CHI) | at DET | Low |
2 | Antonio Gates (SD) | at GB | Low |
3 | Jordan Cameron (MIA) | at TEN | Low |
Bennett is the best of a tight bunch, racking up 24 targets over the past two weeks as Chicago labors without No. 1 option Alshon Jeffery. Regardless of whether Jeffery returns, Bennett should see plenty of work in Detroit. Gates made a sensational season debut and is a strong play again this week, while Cameron should see a larger role in the Miami passing game moving forward.

# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |

4 | Delanie Walker (TEN) | vs. MIA | Low |
5 | Rob Gronkowski (NE) | at IND | Low |
6 | Tyler Eifert (CIN) | at BUF | Low |
Walker has seen 16 targets over the past two weeks, and is priced just right heading into a home matchup with the in-turmoil Dolphins. Gronkowski's only drawback is his always-steep price, but he's the best bet at his position for a touchdown against the Colts. Eifert has scuffled of late, but saw 12 targets last week and should avoid the toughest assignments against Buffalo.
Best of the Rest
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
7 | Gary Barnidge (CLE) | vs. DEN | Medium |
8 | Travis Kelce (KC) | at MIN | Medium |
9 | Charles Clay (BUF) | vs. CIN | Medium |
10 | Kyle Rudolph (MIN) | vs. KC | Medium |
11 | Jimmy Graham (SEA) | vs. CAR | Medium |
12 | Greg Olsen (CAR) | at SEA | Medium |
13 | Julius Thomas (JAC) | vs. HOU | Medium |
14 | Zach Ertz (PHI) | vs. NYG | Medium |
15 | Larry Donnell (NYG) | at PHI | Medium |
Okay, so Barnidge is the real deal after all - but it could be a tough week with the formidable Broncos defense coming to town. Rudolph has plenty of sneaky value play potential against the porous Chiefs, but saw his targets drop in each of the three weeks prior to the Vikings' bye. Thomas should see a larger role in the Jaguars offense this week.

# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
16 | Richard Rodgers (GB) | vs. SD | High |
17 | Heath Miller (PIT) | vs. ARI | High |
18 | Coby Fleener (IND) | vs. NE | High |
19 | Vernon Davis (SF) | vs. BAL | High |
20 | Eric Ebron (DET) | vs. CHI | High |
21 | Maxx Williams (BAL) | at SF | High |
22 | Darren Fells (ARI) | at PIT | High |
23 | Derek Carrier (WAS) | at NYJ | High |
24 | Owen Daniels (DEN) | at CLE | High |
Rodgers has been a quiet beneficiary amid the Packers' injury woes at receiver, collecting 14 targets over the previous two weeks. He's a decent punt play against the visiting Chargers. As for Miller, he's barely on the TE radar these days - the veteran has just 10 targets over the past four weeks after recording a whopping 11 in the Steelers' season opener.
