Report: Sean Payton open to offers from other teams

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is open to fielding offers from other teams, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network citing people familiar with the coach's thinking.

Payton is expected to receive interest from multiple teams looking to make a coaching change, with the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys the two teams most commonly linked to the former Super Bowl winner.

With two years left on his contract, Payton may not be able to leave if the Saints aren't open to it. If the two sides can come to an agreement to let Payton out of his deal, the franchise could be compensated by another team.

Payton has denied the rumors, saying as recently as Monday that he loves it in New Orleans and cast doubt on reporters, whom he says, are playing a guessing game because the Saints are struggling.
