Ravens' Steve Smith out for season with torn Achilles

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith suffered a torn Achilles in Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers and is done for the season, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Since the 36-year-old veteran has said this will be his final season, many assume it was the last game of Smith's career. Head coach John Harbaugh believes otherwise.

"I have a feeling Steve Smith will be back," Harbaugh said following the game, before telling Smith, "You're going to write the final chapter of your career in a way that nobody expects."

It's the first significant injury Smith has suffered since breaking his leg in the 2004 season opener. He missed the entire season with the injury.

Smith moved into 10th on the NFL's all-time receiving yards list prior to the injury. His 89 yards receiving on the day pushed him to 13,939 yards for his career.
