Former Miami players criticize head coach Al Golden
A hurricane hit Miami on Saturday, and Al Golden was in the eye of the storm.
Miami was pounded 58-0 by Clemson, and the game had yet to reach halftime before former Hurricanes' stars expressed their displeasure with the head coach.
Warren Sapp, an All-American defensive tackle at Miami in 1994, led the charge:
Bryant McKinnie, a two-time All-American offensive tackle, also gave his two cents:
In a little more than four years at Miami, Golden has compiled a 32-24 record amid growing criticism.
Following the game, Golden brushed off questions regarding his job security, instead opting to make his team the focal point.
"We'll see how mentally tough we are. We'll see how close we are," Golden told reporters. "We've played one division opponent. There's a lot of football left in our division, and that's where our focus needs to be.
"Our focus doesn't need to be on the outside. We need to fix the things we need to fix and move forward quickly. That's my responsibility."
