VIDEO: Morales pump fakes himself out of Game 3
Kansas City Royals reliever Franklin Morales overthought his way out of Game 3 of the World Series.
With one out and runners on the corners in the sixth inning, Morales induced a groundball back to the mound off the bat of New York Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson. The left-hander corralled the ball, looked to second, then home, then to third, and back to second before throwing the ball wide of the base.

Morales was lifted in favor of Kelvin Herrera before the next batter, but the damage was far from done. A single, walk, and sac fly helped the Mets extend their lead to 9-3, with all four runs charged to Morales.
"It was a groundball right back to him," Royals manager Ned Yost said following the loss. "His instincts were right, he was going to turn around and fire to second. And again, I haven't talked to Salvy, but Franklin said he heard Salvy say "home." So he stopped and turned and it was a mess from that point."
