Rockets' Jones out vs. Heat Sunday with stitches above eye
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
Houston Rockets power forward Terrence Jones will not suit up Sunday against the Miami Heat after receiving stitches for a cut above his right eye.
The injury occurred Friday night in a 112-92 loss to the Golden State Warriors when guard Stephen Curry caught Jones in the face while going for a steal during the third quarter.
Jones started the game at the four spot, scoring four points and grabbing four rebounds on 2-of-7 shooting in a little more than 18 minutes of action.
He didn't practice with the team Saturday.
