Conforto breaks out of slump with record-setting HR
New York Mets manager Terry Collins has insisted on keeping struggling rookie Michael Conforto in his lineup throughout the postseason, and the decision finally paid off in Game 4.
The outfielder, who came into his third-inning at-bat hitting .091 in the playoffs, lifted a majestic solo homer into the second deck in right field at Citi Field to become the youngest Mets player to ever hit a World Series home run.

The 22-year-old is also the youngest to homer in the Fall Classic since 10-time All-Star Miguel Cabrera accomplished the feat in the 2003 World Series with the Florida (now Miami) Marlins at the tender age of 20.
Conforto also hit a home run in Game 2 of the NLDS off Los Angeles Dodgers righty Zack Greinke.
The blast gave the Mets a 1-0 advantage.
