McDavid named NHL's rookie of the month

Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid has been named the NHL's rookie of the month for October.
McDavid leads all rookies with 12 points, is tied for the rookie lead with five goals, and ranks second among the rookie class with seven assists.
The No. 1 overall pick had a seven-game point streak come to an end Saturday in a 5-4 loss to the Calgary Flames.
McDavid sits second on the Oilers in points behind Taylor Hall, who has 13.
