One day after getting the news he'd be sticking with the Vancouver Canucks for the rest of the regular season, Jake Virtanen rewarded his team for the decision.
After chipping the puck past Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Brandon Manning in his own zone, the 19-year-old forward took it all the way down the ice before burying the puck past Steve Mason for his first NHL goal.
The milestone goal gave the Canucks a 3-1 lead as they look to win their second consecutive game.
