- The old guard is on a collision course with the new guard. His career almost completely derailed by a series of injuries, former 135-pound kingpin Dominick Cruz will have a chance to recapture his throne against current bantamweight conqueror T.J. Dillashaw at a Fight Night event in January.
- Coaching opposite Conor McGregor on the current season of "The Ultimate Fighter," Urijah Faber won't have a chance to square off with the bombastic Irishman following the show. Instead, the Team Alpha Male ... er ... alpha male is set to face Frankie Saenz at UFC 194 in September.
- After questioning his station in the sport and the lack of fights/big paydays, undefeated prospect Aljamain Sterling returns to the cage on Dec. 10 against hardened veteran Johnny Eduardo.
- Anyone with an unquenchable thirst for ultraviolence should be tuning in to UFC Fight Night 77 on Nov. 7 when terrifying blue-chip prospect Thomas Almeida slings fists with the equally venomous Anthony Birchak.
