It's a new era in New Jersey, and the Devils can finally let loose.
Goalie prospect Scott Wedgewood fulfilled a personal dream by commissioning a "Seinfeld"-themed mask, featuring one of the club's biggest pop culture moments.

"It's something I've wanted for a long time," Wedgewood told the Albany Devils website. "I'm a huge 'Seinfeld' fan. Growing up, my oldest brother Mark loved it, got me into it. He has all nine seasons, I've seen every episode.
"When I was first drafted by New Jersey, one of the first things any of us said was, 'The Devils!,' the tribute line David Puddy says in the TV show called 'The Face Painter.'"
The design was apparently requested in the past, but was not approved by the previous regime led by Lou Lamoriello, according to Tom Gulitti of Fire and Ice.
Wedgewood was drafted 84th overall by the Devils in 2010 and has yet to make his NHL debut.
