Well, it's pretty much official now: The St. Louis Blues can overcome just about anything.
Despite being hit up for five goals in the first by the defending champion Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday, the Blues were able to rally behind an impressive relief performance from Jake Allen, force overtime, and put the puck onto the stick of superstar sniper Vladimir Tarasenko to close the show.

Though Tarasenko played hero, the eventual 6-5 win was accomplished largely on the shoulders of Allen, who allowed one goal on 27 shots in relief of Brian Elliott.
Elliott exited to attend to an head injury suffered during the Blackhawks' blitz in the first.
