The San Antonio Spurs will be without two main cogs Saturday as Kawhi Leonard and Manu Ginobili sit out against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The pair had been listed as questionable Friday - Leonard with a respiratory infection, and Ginobili with thigh abductor tightness. A matchup against the winless 76ers also gives head coach Gregg Popovich a chance to rest some of his stars, as he is periodically wont to do.
Reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year Leonard is having a career year on offense so far, leading the Spurs with 21.9 points per game on 52.6 percent shooting from the floor. The 38-year-old Ginobili, meanwhile, has played in all eight games, averaging 11 points on 41.4 percent shooting from downtown.
